Rental Terms and Conditions – Cenaro Car Rental

Effective from: July 2025

Welcome to Cenaro Car Rental. These terms and conditions ensure a safe, transparent, and flexible rental experience for both parties.
By renting a vehicle from Cenaro, you agree to the following terms:

1. Driver Requirements

Eligibility

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Valid Class B driver’s license issued in Norway or an EU/EEA country
• License must have been valid for at least 12 months

Responsibility

• The renter is fully responsible for the vehicle during the rental period
• This includes any authorized additional drivers

2. Rental Period and Mileage

Timing

• The rental period starts and ends at the agreed time and location
• Unlimited mileage is included – drive as much as you like, at no extra cost

Late Return

• Late return without notice: €18 per started hour
• Delays over 3 hours may be charged as an extra rental day

3. Payment and Security Deposit

Payment

• The full rental amount must be paid in advance before vehicle pickup

Deposit

• A refundable security deposit of €270 may be required
• Refunded within 5 business days after a damage-free return
• Charges for damages, traffic violations, fuel shortages, or cleaning may be deducted from the deposit

4. Insurance and Deductible

Coverage

• All vehicles are covered by liability and comprehensive insurance

Deductible Options

• Standard deductible: €1,100
• Optional reduction to €180 for an additional €18, paid before rental start
• Deductible reduction applies only to the first incident and excludes misuse or gross negligence

5. Accidents and Incidents

Reporting

• All accidents, damages, or technical issues must be reported immediately

Legal Requirement

• For theft, vandalism, or accidents, a police report is required and must be sent to Cenaro

Liability

• Renter is liable for damages up to the selected deductible
• If driving under the influence, violating traffic laws, or misusing the vehicle, full liability applies

6. Prohibited Use

The vehicle may not be used for:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Off-road driving, racing, drifting, or motorsports
• Transport of illegal goods or any criminal activity
• Driving outside Norway without written approval
• Use by unauthorized drivers

Note: Any violation will void all insurance and deductible protection and may result in full financial liability.

7. Cleaning, Smoking, and Pets

Cleanliness

• Vehicles must be returned in a reasonably clean condition

Prohibited Inside Vehicle

• Smoking and pets are not allowed

Cleaning Fee

• A €135 fee applies if the car is returned with:
  • Smoke smell
  • Pet hair
  • Spills
  • Heavy dirt or stains

8. Cancellations and Changes

Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation: Up to 48 hours before pickup
• 50% charge: If cancelled 24–48 hours before rental start
• 100% charge: If cancelled less than 24 hours before or in case of a no-show

9. Long-Term Rentals and Business Clients

• Rentals over 7 days may qualify for discounted pricing
• Business clients can request:
  • Flexible terms on mileage or delivery
  • Invoice billing
